About Dipti

Dipti Jasrasaria is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and the James Franck Institute at the University of Chicago. She received her A.B. in Chemistry at Harvard University and her M.Phil. in Scientific Computing at the University of Cambridge. Dipti completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley in the group of Prof. Eran Rabani, where her research on exciton dynamics in nanomaterials was supported by a DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship. From 2022 to 2025, Dipti was a postdoctoral researcher advised by Prof. Timothy Berkelbach at Columbia University, developing methods to study the vibrational structure of strongly anharmonic materials. Dipti joined the faculty at UChicago in 2025.
